Homemade Hair Detangler

Family Centered Living™ | Homemade Detangler

 

 

This hair detangler is simple to make from all natural ingredients you probably have right in your pantry. The basic recipe is followed by recipes for dry scalp, and enhancing your natural hair colour – whether it is blonde, brunette, or red.

Basic Detangler:

¼ c. filtered honey, heated and cooled
1 T olive oil
2 c. water

Shake ingredients together and store in a spray bottle

For Dry Scalp:

¼ c. filtered honey, heated
¼ – ½ tsp tea tree oil
1T olive oil
2 c. water

To bring out natural hair colours:

For Blonde Hair:

1 T. olive oil
¼ c. filtered honey (NOT heated)
1 T. lemon juice
2 c. water

For Brunette Hair:

1/4c. rosemary needles
1 T. olive oil
¼ c. filtered honey, heated
2 c. water

Steep rosemary needles in boiling water for 15 minutes, strain. Add other ingredients and store in a spray bottle.

For Red Hair:

¼ c. marigold flowers
1 T. olive oil
¼ c. filtered honey (heated for darker tones, unheated for lighter ones)
2 c. water

Steep marigold flowers in boiling water for 15 minutes, strain. Add other ingredients and store in a spray bottle.
